Teaching and Learning Guidelines during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and COVID-19 Campus Access Guidelines for HU Students, 2nd Semester, Academic Year 2021
The teaching and learning guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic, and COVID-19 campus access guidelines for HU students, 2nd semester, academic year 2021 are aligned with the references to Srinakharinwirot University Announcements on measurement to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (#30), issued on October 31, 2021 and on teaching and learning guidelines during the 2nd semester of the academic year 2021, issued on December 13, 2021. In order to maintain efficient teaching and learning operations of the Faculty of Humanities, Srinakharinwirot University during the 2nd semester of the academic year 2021, the Faculty of Humanities hereby issues the following measures:
1. Teaching and Learning Guidelines
1.1 Undergraduate Studies
- Instructors conduct their classes by using a blended approach to learning. The design of such blended learning approach should enhance all students’ learning experiences.
- Undergraduate students are allowed to study in the premises of the Faculty from January 24, 2022, onward.
- If any student experiences travel difficulties to take onsite courses and has already notified the course instructors, the student will not be marked absent. The course instructors will provide alternative assessments for the student as appropriate.
- For health, safety, and well-being operations of onsite courses, all instructors and students must strictly follow the prevention and control measurement of COVID-19.
1.2 Graduate Studies
- All instructors and students must strictly follow the Graduate School of Srinakharinwirot University’s Teaching and Learning Guidelines during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
- Graduate students are allowed to study in the premises of the Faculty from January 24, 2022, onward.
2. COVID-19 Campus Access Guidelines for HU Students
2.1 Prior to onsite visits, all HU students will need to complete the onsite visit (2nd semester, academic year 2021) consent form. Then, submit the complete form to their course instructors by January 5, 2022.
2.2 Prior to onsite visits, all HU students will need to attest that they are fully vaccinated (at least two jabs) against COVID-19 with valid vaccine certifications showing that they have received the last jab for at least 14 days.
In case that students had infected by COVID-19, were unable to secure the vaccination at the set time and has been tested as negative for COVID-19 for 90 days, they will provide their medical reports or certifications to the Student Development and Alumni Engagement Division, the Faculty of Humanities.
2.3 If the students fulfill both 2.1 and 2.2, they will need to attest that they are tested as negative for COVID-19 by using Antigen Test Kit (ATK). They must show their ATK proofs to the course instructors 48 hours prior to onsite visits.
2.4 For health, safety, and well-being operations of onsite courses, all instructors and students must strictly follow the prevention and control measurement of COVID-19 as follows:
- Wear a cloth mask or surgical mask at all times while on campus.
- Temperature checks prior to entering onsite classes are required.
- Keeping physical distance at least 1 meter apart from each other.
- Cleaning hands properly with alcohol-based hand sanitizers. Keep your hands away from your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- If your body temperature is higher than 37.5 degrees in Celsius with cough, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath, you are strongly advised to immediately consult your doctor.
2.5 For health, safety, and well-being operations of onsite courses, 10% of the total number of students in each course section will be randomly selected to do an ATK test. This random inspection will be done once in 2 weeks.
This announcement shall be effective from 27 December 2021 unless otherwise announced.
