HU to community
From November 21st to 23rd 2023, the Faculty of Humanities
conducted English language improvement activities at Thappraya School in Khok Sung District, Sa Kaeo impacting 130 students. This initiative was aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) which focuses on inclusive and equitable education and lifelong learning. The project targeted Mathayom 3 students from Opportunity Expansion Schools and Mathayom 4 students from various secondary schools across Sa Kaeo. This aimed to enhance their English language skills which is essential for achieving high-quality education and succeeding in a global context.
Additionally, the project produced significant Social Return on Investment (SROI) by improving English language skills which helps students in higher education and job opportunities, leading to long-term benefits like higher income potential, better job prospects, and increased social inclusion.
The opening event was graced by notable attendees, including the Directors of Sa Kaeo Primary Education Area Office 2, Sa Kaeo Secondary Education Area and Thappraya School. We extend our appreciation to Aj. Paiboon Prasertsan, the educational supervisor, for his valuable collaboration, as well as the teachers from Sa Kaeo.
